What a pompous jerk! He wanted attention without realizing how out of touch he was. I wonder what he had to say as the Beatles totally chnaged popular music and culture. Did he still claim that they had no musical ability after Sgt. Pepper?

Obviously,Mr.Jones was not one to keep up with the times. He seems very anti Rock&Roll. His bad review of The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, was very short-sighted.I mean they obviously were not bad , and that is why they were and remain the best-selling  and most revered Rock & Roll Band in Music history. Not to mention Paul McCartney, who continues to tour at 80 years of age and is very close to being the richest musician in the world.

Let me take a wild guess...  This critic didn't like the Beatles very much. smile

I disagree with Mr.Jones.."The Beatles"did have musical talents and they were(and the two surviving members of the group:Sir Paul and Mr.Starr)and still are charming people. And their music..is still embraced by the fans of Rock and Roll.
