She defined my love of music in such a way that you can live with it!!! Her excellence in expression of her craft of making music more important because it can be used for love, joy, and even the bittersweet moments gives me even more reason to love music!!!

...and she wore the same gown!
It was for the second act, after the intermission. She comes on and fluffs the chiffon about and asks the audience, "Like the drag?" She explains how she bought it years ago from a couple of guys in New Hope, PA and stuffed it into a bag, which didn't harm it in the least, so she takes it everywhere now because it requires no care.

She had a pianist for the performance. That worked out fine, except she couldn't do the ridiculous piano bench scene shown in the video. She also explained the making of bagpipes in her same amusing way, with props and a bagpiper.

When she appeared at Caltech's Beckman Auditorium on her "second retirement tour" I decided to see her on stage while I could. She was excellent. I think she did five or six retirement tours after that. One ad said something like "the last one...for real".
