They were a radio comedy show in the late 1940s. Then they faded away. In 1953, the program returned, except that Don Ameche wasn't available so Lew Parker (many years later he was Ann Marie's father on That Girl) did the part of John Bickerson.

Married couple DO sometimes argue....but this was a JOKE (unednding series of jokes) - based on reality!!! And IMHO some GREAT ONES....One time, when she told him there were "better fish in the ocean than the one she caught"....he came back with the classic line..."There's better BAIT, too"!!!

Used to hear clips of these guys on WTFM in the morning around 0720 hrs on DJ 'Fred Darwin's' show....great memories here...Thanx.
