yes 4 track tapes. there were even small roller adaptors to snap in the 4 track tapes tp be able to play them ina 8 track machine. First machines i remember were masde my MUNTZ

i dont see any chrystal radios some were rocketship and tuned with a slide at top of the rocket ship wish i had one.

I had a little red rocket crystal radio but it was tuned by twisting the nose. It had an alligator clip for an antenna connection, which picked up the strongest signal when it was clipped to the dial stop on our telephone. I experimented with a few crystal sets but without amplification, the only station any of them could pick up was WCAU Philadelphia 1010am. It had a 50kW transmitter which just overwhelmed any other signal that was floating on the ether. I made a "wave trap" antenna once but it started to smoke before I could properly test it.
