As a kid I loveed it when it would freeze in the winter and the cream would expand and push the cap off the bottle...naturally mom hated it...

As a child in the pre-homogenized era loved licking the sweet cream under the cap!

Our last home delivery of milk was from Sealtest, back in about 1974.

There are still Sealtest Dairies around. I see the brand around Toronto and environs. We used to have Sealtest delivered in South Jersey. When we ran out of milk and I was sent to the store, I found I could buy milk from any milkman on his route. It saved steps and time and cost about the same as in one of the neighborhood (corner) stores.

Remember having a capped milk bottle at the table? When the air pressure changes, the top will pop off. When we were at the seashore, the air pressure changed with the tides and the bottle top would pop every supper time. It could happen at other times and places.
