Oddly enough, Stanley Kramer, the director, directed "Judgment at Nuremberg."

Not if there's a buck to be made.

At the ripe old age of 66...I have yet to see a remake that is as good or better than the original. They need to learn to "leave well enough alone".

I agree that this film can't and shouldn't be remade.

One of the all-time classic comedies. I dunno if you could do a remake, and I hope no one tries.

My dad used to always argue with me that this was filmed in San Diego (the map on the wall of the Cricket County Sheriff's Office is of San Diego County). It was filmed in 29 Palms, Malibu, Long Beach, Irvine, Yucca Valley, in the mountains over Palm Springs, and San Pedro, as well as many other places. The Big W was in a park going out of San Pedro heading towards Palos Verdes. Dad just knew that was at Coronado.

Lots of famous comedians. My Dad said it was great.......but I wasn't too impressed. I just remember how loud Ethel Merman's voice was !

I believe it...Maybe that's because she is 4 years closer to the Boomer world than my daughter? Great ensemble cast and director. 13 yr olds might not recognize that..yet.

My daughter is 17, and believe it or not, IAMMMMW is one of her favorite movies. If she has a bunch of friends over for movie night, chances are this will be the one they choose.

This movie cracked our whole family up! Watched it again recently with my teenage daughter after we had seen "Rat Race" - the 2001 equivalent (much preferred by her). I laughed much harder in the 60s.

Fond memories of my parents laughing at this while watching at a drive-in.

I have It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World on DVD. I was in love with Spencer Tracy when I was younger and saw a lot of his movies. The greatest actor ever lived....And this is one of the funniest movies ever made - with nearly every comedian you could think of in it - from Mack Sennett to the 3 Stooges...
